Here is a sample of the cards that were posted on Oct. 4th. There are many other beautiful and silly cards posted to get your mojo going so visit the board. This was done by our DT member Tricia.
—————————————————————————-
These are so simple and fun! You will want to make alot of them!
These cards work best with heavy, double sided cardstock but any paper will do, as long as there is a design on both sides.

For this one, start with a double sided 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock. I chose the Sassafrass Lass paper in the PP store!! Put the pattern you want on the front of the card, face up.

Fold Cardstock in half vertically and open, then horizontally, then open. Cut the left horizontal fold to the center of the paper. I used my bone folder in the cut so you can see what I did:

Fold the right botton corner up to the center:

Fold the top left corner down approximdagely 2.75 inches, I guesstimate:

Fold the top left quarter on top of the top right quarter:

Fold the left bottom quarter underneath the bottom right quarter:

Fold the bottm right corner up to meet the middle horizontal fold:

Fold the bottom quarter onto the top quarter to finish. Use your adhesive to finish and close the edges:

Insert tags. I used the Sassafrass Lass diecut stickers and the cornstarch technique for my tags.

This month’s theme is ALTER IT!!!!!! So, let’s get started …..
Week 1 Theme Challenge: Altered Paint Cans!!!
You will have until the end of the month to complete this challenge.
This challenge is to make a trick or treat paint can! This is great for kids to use on Halloween, or have at home to hand out candy from.
Start with an empty paint can, these can be purchased at your local DIY store.
Pattern Paper (bottom of can): Cut from one 12×12 piece of paper
4 ½ x 11 inches
4 ½ x 10 ¾ inches
Pattern Paper (top of can): Cut from one 12×12 piece of paper
3 ¼ x 11 inches
3 ¼ x 10 ¾ inches
Pattern Paper (lid)
5 ½-inch circle.
Ribbon:
One 25-inch pc.
Assort. Of coordinating ribbons 3 ½ - 4 inch pcs.
Modge Podge or Permanent adhesive.
7/8 inch hole punch.
Directions:
1. Remove handle from the paint can.
2. Start with getting all your paper cut to size.
3. Adhere paper to bottom half of paint can, be sure that your seams are at the side of the can where the handle attaches.
4. Line up the paper with the top of the can, one end will overlap where the handle attaches to the can. Lightly rub the paper over this area; it will leave a mark so that you know where to punch the hole. Done this to both pieces of paper.
5. Adhere paper to the top of the can.
** If using Modge Podge as the adhesive, be sure to put an even coat over the entire can so that the paper will adhere evenly. Be sure to let this dry over night.
6. Decorate can with stickers and rubons for added décor.
** Once you have added the stickers and rubons, you can add an even coat of Modge Podge over the entire can, this will act as a sealer and protect the paper.
7. Using glue dots, adhere the 25 inch pc of ribbon over the seam where the 2 papers meet.
8. Adhere the 5 ½ inch circle to lid of can.
9. re-attach handle.
10. Tie the pieces of ribbon to the handle.

Remember to post your projects in the gallery!!!
